   2008 TRACK RULES KASSON SPEEDWAY

RULES - General Track

1. Draw cut-off is 5:45 Pit fee for driver must be paid prior to deadline, anyone may chose to represent driver by paying the non-refundable driver/car pit fee.

2. It is the responsibility of each individual to sign the insurance wavier and receive an armband prior to entering pits. Anyone found in the pits without an armband will be fined $25 prior to re-entry.

3. Drivers are responsible for all crew members and fans associated with team.

4. No fighting in the pits will be tolerated, no one is allowed to enter an opponents pit area to resolve a dispute. Violation of rule will result in a fine.

5. NO speeding or dangerous driving in the pits, result will be a $100 fine first offense, $250 second offense.

6. Officials decisions will be final! ANY arguing with an official will result in a $50 fine and deducted at the pay window.

7. All drivers MUST attend the pit meeting, fine of $25 will result at pay window.

8. All checks must be picked up at the track on a regular race night failure to pick up "base" payout check after two events will be forfeited. NO checks will be mailed.

9. ALL cars MUST pack by class when called, result will be starting in rear of heat race.

10. It is the drivers responsibility to be aware of the race program and be in staging at the proper time.

RACING - GENERAL

1. It is the drivers responsibility to be lined up in the proper spot. If a driver enters the track late (any car has passed track entrance on warm-up lap) It is the DRIVERS responsibility to tail the field on his/her own, failure to do so will result in the loss of four (4) spots from finish, and a finish position no greater than last place plus the number of cars passed.

2. There will be NO total restarts, unless it is determined to be a speedway error or fault. If no call is made as a result of a "racing incident" ALL cars DOT will go to the tail. If a call is made, that car only will be signaled to the pit work area to tail the field and any cars that required maintenance as a result of the "called" yellow and will not be permitted to return until all cars return to the track. If any car is unable to continue as a result of damage due to the yellow, the car that caused the yellow will also not be allowed to re-enter the track.

3. For the start of races only, any change in the posted line-up, cars will move straight forward. NO criss-cross.

4. Re-starts will generally be double file, leader out front. 2nd place will have inside/outside choice, 4th place will always start inside. Heat race grn/wht/checker will be single file and features with less than 5 to go will start single file. (or whenever determined by officials)

5. All races will start at the turn four cone, any passing prior to the cone will result at a two spot penalty at the next yellow or pay window.

6. Brake checking, or excessively slow pace starts will not be tolerated and will result in the driver being sent to the tail.

7. You may NOT race with a flat tire except the (LF) you may NOT return to the track in heat races.

8. Adequate time will be given to cars in the "designated work area," cars that choose to pit at their trailers may not receive the same amount of time.

9. NO discussions other than for safety reasons will be held on the racing surface, any driver stopping on the track other than a "safety reason" will be sent to the tail. NO exceptions

10. Absolutely NO pit personal is allowed on the track at any time, unless directed by track personal. The result will be the crew members car being sent to the rear.

11. Any car that causes two yellows or is two laps down will be sent to the pits

 Kasson Speedway reserves the right to adjust any rule as it deems. Rules are guidelines for competition and do not express or imply any liability or safety. Racing is by nature a very dangerous sport and the result can cause injury up to including death.
